Antelope Walk, Dorchester's characterful arcade of independent shops and eateries, is hosting two family-friendly community events this December.
Local shoppers and foodies are encouraged to visit Antelope Walk on Saturday December 14 and Saturday December 21 from 10am-1pm, for a festive shopping experience.
Located in the heart of Dorchester's town centre, Antelope Walk will host Local Vocals community choir on Saturday December 14. The choir will perform a series of carols throughout the event to kick off the countdown to Christmas and promise to create a festive atmosphere.
Local violinist, Steve Faulkner, will be performing live at Antelope Walk on Saturday December 21. Steve has created a bespoke setlist which features a number of Christmas classics and a few modern favourites.
Complimentary homemade festive refreshments from Antelope Walk's very own Celtic Kitchen Shop and The Top End Deli, will also be available for people to taste and enjoy.
Giles Hall, portfolio manager of Catalyst Capital - the owners of Antelope Walk, said: "We want to host a series of events that celebrates our local independent retailers and gives back to the community that has supported us over the years. Since Christmas is the season of goodwill, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to bring people together to enjoy a special festive experience, complete with live music and refreshments."
Antelope Walk is located off Dorchester's high street (Cornhill) and connects to Trinity Street, which runs parallel to the main high street. The arcade is steeped in history with buildings dating back to the late 1500's. Retailers include Robin James Aveda Salon and Spa, Mirari Lingerie and the Body Shop.
During these events, Robin James Aveda will provide customers with 10 per cent off all Aveda products and Mirari Lingerie is offering a five per cent discount to purchases made on these dates.
