Defending the Caveman

"Uproariously funny"              "Caveman is a nationwide comic phenomenon!"

THE TELEGRAPH                THE NEW YORK TIMES

"Hysterically funny... Caveman made me laugh until tears rolled down my cheeks"                                                       VARIETY MAGAZINE

Mark Little has returned to his critically acclaimed role in ‘Best Entertainment' Olivier Award winning production ‘Defending the Caveman'.  Directed by Cathy Farr, its recent London run at the Leicester photo by GERAINT LEWISSquare Theatre extended its run for 6 weeks due to popular demand and soon men will prove that they are not a**holes at a theatre near you!

Created and performed by Rob Becker in San Francisco in 1991, the show, which was awarded the prestigious honour when Mark took on the role at the Apollo Theatre in 2000, is the longest running solo play in Broadway history. Having been translated into 16 different languages, ‘Caveman'  has become a worldwide hit, performing to over 5 million people globally in Germany, Slovenia, Belgium, France, Russia, Australia and South Africa to name but a few!  Next year it will be seen in Argentina and Brazil.

With hysterical observations into contemporary feminism, masculine sensitivity and the erogenous zones, ‘Defending the Caveman' has both sexes roaring with laughter and recognition as they identify themselves in the tales being told. In short, it mines the common themes in relationships that go straight through the funny bone and into the heart.

MARK LITTLE

Best known for his role as Joe Mangel in ‘Neighbours', Mark has been involved in countless comedy shows at various festivals internationally. He portrayed Leigh Bowery in ‘Taboo' at The Venue, Leicester Square, and on tour and was in the recent UK tour of Tim Firth's ‘Safari Party'. He played Costard in ‘Love's Labours Lost', and Bottom in ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream' in 2006.  He was Crispin in ‘A Chorus of Disapproval' with the Melbourne Theatre Company.

Film roles include in ‘Blackball' directed by Mel Smith with Paul Kaye, Johnny Vegas, Imelda Staunton and ‘Evil Angels' directed by Fred Schepisi with Meryl Street and Sam Neill.

If you're married, see this show! If you're dating...see this show! If you're single, YOU REALLY NEED TO SEE THIS SHOW!
