Top Upcoming Fights Across the UK and Ireland

There are a host of big boxing events coming up across the UK and Northern Ireland, ones that fight fans and those who just enjoy a great night out in their area can thoroughly enjoy. 

Whether you're a sporting fan or not, boxing matches provide plenty of excitement, drama and enjoyment no matter where they're being held.

So, with that in mind, here are some of the best and most promising fight night cards coming up on the horizon across parts of the UK and Ireland that people can get to and enjoy during the upcoming months. 

Dillian Whyte v Oscar Rivas, London, July 20th

At the O2 Arena in London, Britain's hopeful world heavyweight title contender Dillian Whyte will face off with Colombian challenger Oscar Rivas. 

Whyte is still pushing for a world title shot and a big upset defeat here would derail those hopes. The Londoner is the odds-on 2/9 favourite in the boxing betting to prevail as widely expected on home soil, where he will be cheered by local supporters. 

Anthony Fowler v Brian Rose, Liverpool, August 2nd

Liverpool's Exhibition Centre will play host to an intriguing middleweight match-up between home hope Anthony Fowler and visiting Birmingham native Brian Rose. 

The Merseyside city is well known for a superb night out with friends and heading along to this latest fight card would definitely help provide fun times for everyone. 

Michael Conlan v Diego Alberto Ruiz, Belfast, August 3rd

Across the pond from England to Irish soil and it will be Belfast's Falls Park that will be the venue for rising star Michael Conlan's latest ring outing as he prepares to do battle with stand-in opponent Diego Alberto Ruiz. 

The former amateur stand out star was supposed to contest his Olympic nemesis Vladimir Nikitin but the Russian was ruled out with injury and he now prepares to tackle Argentine Ruiz at Féile an Phobail.

Anyone fancying a trip to Belfast in early August should consider tickets for this massive event, with there being a great undercard and obviously plenty of hotels situated around the venue to make it a top weekend in the north of Ireland. 

Vasyl Lomachenko v Luke Campbell, London, August 31st

Although not 100 per cent confirmed, it looks very likely that the fascinating lightweight title meeting between Ukraine's pound-for-pound talent Vasyl Lomachenko and fellow Olympic Gold medallist Luke Campbell will go down in London.

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn recently confirmed that the details were being ironed out but American promoter Bob Arum jumped straight in and admitted the fight is agreed and headed for the UK.

Likely to be at the O2 Arena, anyone who is going to be around the area in London at the end of August would be foolish not to enquire about potentially heading to this massive fight night. What could be better than seeing the best fighter on the planet showcasing his artistry in the squared circle in the English capital? That's a great night out for anyone.
