Tribfest is back and at Sledmere House

Published: 11th August 2015 20:36

One of the summer’s biggest tribute band music festivals in the UK is now in its ninth year and takes place at Sledmere House, near Driffield, on 20-23 August 2015.

One of the summer’s biggest tribute band music festivals in the UK is now in its ninth year and takes place at Sledmere House, near Driffield, on 20-23 August 2015.

The idea of Tribfest is to enable families to enjoy an affordable, fantastic, fun weekend away, meeting fellow festival friends old and new, whilst listening to some great live music, performed on a stage of high-quality with a big screen, top lighting and sound to accompany this.

Brand new for 2015, Tribfest will now feature four days of main stage music. Weekend ticket holders can purchase Thursday early entry tickets for an extra day of festival fun, including a main stage headline performance by Dublin’s own, The Joshua Tree, a tribute to U2.

Festival director Ed Faulkner said: “Because of the increasing demand we’ve decided to open the main stage on a Thursday. A testament to how the event is growing year-on-year. We’re now a recognised national brand, with the added bonus of the festival now branching out and running Tribfest-themed events throughout the year, including a ‘Tribfest on the Seas’ Minicruise this December on P&O Ferries from Hull – Rotterdam.”

Headliners for Tribfest 2015 include Totally Tina, a tribute to Tina Turner, The Cheatles, a tribute to The Beatles, and Badness, a tribute to Madness.

Councillor Jane Evison, cabinet portfolio holder for economic investment and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “I am delighted that the council - through EY Events - are sponsoring Tribfest again this year. It is great to have the opportunity to support such a well-established and growing event in the East Riding, which brings new visitors into the area each year.”
