Hall & Woodhouse (H&W), the leading family-owned brewer, is celebrating a successful year since The Worlds End based in Patching, re-opened to guests following a £1.3million investment.
The pub located on Arundel Road, re-opened to guests in May 2018 following a three-month project to bring the pub up-to-date, while keeping its homely, welcoming feel to new and returning guests.
Following the works, the country pub now boasts a fully refitted kitchen, a ‘Colourful Coffee' station, new interior décor, an extended bar area and new furniture. Guests can also now head outdoors in the sunshine to a new terrace seating area at the back of the pub, where families can continue to enjoy the large garden and children's play area.
Prior to the pub's refurbishment, Chris Gilmour was appointed as General Manager of The Worlds End. Chris has more than 20 years' experience in the hospitality sector in a variety of different roles both in the kitchen as a chef and front of house. Chris has worked at H&W for six years in different houses across the estate.
Reflecting on the past year, Chris Gilmour, General Manager of the Worlds End, said: "Fundamentally my team has been at the heart of the pub's success. We work hard to ensure that our main focus is on delivering the highest standard of hospitality to our guests. We believe everything we do should be with the guest in mind at all times and that is why we provide good food, good hospitality and a welcoming environment."
Matt Kearsey, Managing Director of H&W, added: "We know how well-loved The Worlds End is by the community and we wanted to make a significant investment into the pub to ensure it continues to be a place that welcomes guests for generations to come.

"The feedback we have received from people who continue to enjoy our fantastic, good-quality food and drink has been great. I'm very proud of what Chris and the team have achieved since we reopened. They offer amazing hospitality and are the driving force behind the investment being such a success."
