Abbey Health Foods was established in 1993 in the historic market town of Waltham Abbey, Essex.

We offer friendly, expert advice for all your health needs, with a wide range of high quality supplements and health foods to suit every budget.

We are the only health food shop in the UK with a resident Doctor of Nutrition.

Dr Miles Fleetwood has been a Nutritional Therapist since 2000. He gained his PhD in 2006, qualified as a Foresight Practitioner in 2010 and as a TCM Acupuncturist in March 2012.

He holds clinics in Hampstead and Harley Street as well as Waltham Abbey.

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a natural way of creating optimum spinal health, so that the nervous system can do it's job, enabling you to overcome the negative effects of a spine which is out of condition. When your body works efficiently, you work efficiently which not only changes you, but everyone around you.

What does a Chiropractor do?

A Chiropractor uses their hands to locate the joint which is not moving properly and uses a quick impulse to free the joint so that it moves once more. This is called an adjustment. The muscles can then start to work normally and the spine will gradually return to its optimal working condition.

What happens on your first visit?

On your first visit, the chiropractor will ask about your problem, your medical and health history. Then they will carry out a detailed examination of the spine and nervous system (which may include X-rays). At the second visit, the cause of your problem will be explained in detail and on your agreement, treatment will  commence.

Our Team

Terry Chimes is the Clinic Director at Chimes Chiropractic Clinic in Waltham Abbey where he is supported by Anya Dague, all practitioners at their clinics are Doctors of Chiropractic, GCC registered and Members of the UCA.

After a successful career in music (former drummer with The Clash and Black Sabbath), Terry has dedicated his professional life to practicing chiropractic treatment. He has also trained as an Acupuncturist in London, later working in hospitals in the Peoples Republic of China. He has attended numerous post graduate courses and is in demand internationally as a lecturer and trainer.
