Copped Hall Trust are holding the second of two annual Open Days on Sunday 30th August 2015 from 11am to 4pm entrance on Crown Hill in Epping, CM16 5HS at a cost of £7.00 per person.
On their Open Days the public have access to the whole of the gardens, parts of the mansion, the cellars and the stables. Tea, coffee, homemade biscuits, cakes and lunch are available, as well as a bar selling alcoholic drinks.
There willl be stalls and exhibitions, homemade and homegrown produce for sale, and the Trust shop is open.
The house is only opened to the public on a few specific dates, so don't miss this opportunity to view the restoration work in this beautiful Georgian mansion.
Please note there is only one entrance access to Copped Hall from the gates in Crown Hill / Upshire Road which will be manned by stewards, please under no circumstances disturb the Lodge owners for entry.
Copped Hall is a Georgian mansion and gardens run by the Copped Hall Trust who successfully fought developers and purchased the site in 1995, the surrounding parkland is owned and protected by The Corporation of London. It is used for educational, cultural and community use. They have guided tours, study days, open gardens and outdoor and indoor events throughout the year.
If you have not been for a while do visit soon as you will be amazed at the progress of the restoration work on the interior of the mansion, which is being lovingly restored to its former glory.
The gardens are open monthly to the public, but to view the interior of the renovated mansion you have to attend on Open Days or Special Event Days, please see their website for dates and details.
