The distinctive bright yellow Essex Air Ambulance has been flying and saving lives across the county and beyond since 1998.
Now, the Essex Air Ambulance Charity is calling on the people of Essex to ‘"Go Yellow" in celebration of National Air Ambulance Week from 21st to 27th September - and to help raise vital funds to keep the life-saving helicopter flying.
Why not throw a yellow-themed dinner party; wear yellow for the day (at home or work) or live it up with a yellow cocktail or smoothie evening with friends? Anything yellow goes!
However you decide to Go Yellow simply ask your friends, colleagues or guests to make a donation to Essex Air Ambulance.
Sabi Blyth, Essex Air Ambulance Fundraising Manager, said: "We always have loads of fun with Go Yellow and it's great to see how people of all ages from across Essex get behind for this national awareness week. Every yellow-inspired idea is welcome as all donations make a difference. Last year Go Yellow raised over £24,000 and, with everyone's support we can raise even more this year. So please register today and help keep Essex Air Ambulance flying!"
Essex Air Ambulance is a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS); providing a free life-saving service for Essex and surrounding areas. Specialist Doctors and Critical Care Paramedics can be rushed to the scene of an incident with life-saving support equipment and the patient, following assessment, will be flown to an appropriate hospital. Unlike NHS emergency services Essex Air Ambulance is a Charity relying solely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex to remain operational and saving lives.
Everyone who registers for "Go Yellow" will automatically be entered into our free Prize Draw to win an overnight stay at the beautiful Hanbury Manor in Ware, Hertfordshire.
