The Kellystore Fun-Raisers Munden House 10K and 5K in aid of Herts Air Ambulance is fast approaching and the Charity is calling on runners of all abilities to take part!
Join in on Monday 6th May for a 10k or 5k run or walk around the beautiful grounds of Munden Estate, tucked between St. Albans and Watford. The off road, traffic free course will follow a route through oak woodland and across quintessential English parkland. There's a little twist at the end too, for those who need cooling off! It will be a great fun day out for all the family.
The Herts Air Ambulance made a special landing at Munden House on Monday (22nd April) to celebrate the launch of this event where 100% of all proceeds will go directly to keeping this life-saving helicopter flying and saving lives in Hertfordshire. The Air Crew on board the helicopter were joined for official photographs by Herts Air Ambulance staff and volunteers, Moira Martin and Rory Macpherson of Kellystore Fun-Raisers, plus Henry and Kate Holland-Hibbert, owners of Munden House Estate.
Moira Martin, Director of Kellystore Fun-Raisers, said: "Herts Air Ambulance rely totally on donations from the public so we are really hoping people will support our event by signing up, sponsoring or donating on line. Every penny will go directly to Herts Air Ambulance. Your county needs this service and they can't fly without you!! Please help us to keep them in the air!"
Wendy Marcon, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust Events Manager, adds: "Thank you to everyone who has signed up to take part so far, we really hope to see a great turn out on the day and encourage runners to get sponsored to help raise much needed funds for the life-saving helicopter. Subject to operations the Herts Air Ambulance is set to return to Munden House for another special landing on the day which is such a unique opportunity for people to see the helicopter up close and meet the Air Crew."

Herts Air Ambulance landing at Munden Estate
The Herts Air Ambulance is a vital life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). It costs in the region of £130,000 per month to cover all charitable costs and aircraft operations including the provision of Doctors. The service enables clinicians and life-saving support equipment to be rushed to the scene of an incident and the patient can be flown to an appropriate hospital. The Herts Air Ambulance receives no National Lottery funding and is reliant upon donations from the public and local businesses to raise the funds needed to keep the Air Ambulance flying.
