Why would you not want to join in?

There is a great opportunity on our doorstep! An opportunity for everyone who works, lives or plays in Waltham Abbey to make a difference. No, not to give up loads of time, or pay out loads of money, not even to commit to attending regular events. It is to come along to Link4Growth, which is to be found every first Wednesday morning at 9.30am at the WA Marriott Hotel.
L4G is an umbrella organisation that allows EVERYONE who is concerned about where they live and/or work to simply meet, talk, listen, learn, link and grow. It's painless, indeed highly enjoyable, as everyone says who comes along each month.
We have an aim, and it's a simple one. To provide an opportunity for people, businesses, groups, civic employees, schools etc. etc. etc. to meet and get to know people who wouldn't normally come into their sphere. By simply joining in business is done, links are forged, jobs are found, understanding grows, real needs are understood, and everyone helps everyone, who helps everyone .......... and so it goes.
It's where the nitty-gritty of local activities can be discussed in a wholly positive, friendly, non political and non confrontational atmosphere. The whole gathering being hosted in a way that ensures contacts are made and links grow for the benefit of all.
And Waltham Abbey is leading the way! There are 30 L4G groups currently meeting in England, and this number is growing all the time. (Even locally there will be a new group in Harlow and in Chelmsford very soon, and we are moving into the Midlands), but Waltham Abbey is the torch bearer being the largest and most talked about group across the whole L4G family.
So much so that we (in the shape of your local 'host') were invited to open the North West London Business Expo on 24th June in Harrow. We were invited because Waltham Abbey is really on the L4G map, and is possible better known outside Waltham Abbey than it is in the town itself!
That is a tragedy, because here we have an opportunity to 'do our bit' toward increasing the prosperity of our town, yet it is many people for the surrounding areas who come in to Waltham Abbey to benefit from what L4G has to offer.
So here is a plea to everyone who has a link with Waltham Abbey. Book yourself in, or just come along, to the Marriott on the first Wednesday of every month (July 3rd is the next as I write this article) and start to 'do your bit' in the struggle that we all face, across the whole nation.
Oh, and the cost? £3.00. And that includes tea/coffee and biscuit. No commitment, no pressure, just enjoyable company and the guarantee that you'll leave feeling good!
Please take a look at the Link4Growth website http://www.link4growth.biz/ which will give you details of all the meetings nationwide.
Pictures show your local L4G host opening the Expo, then with Her Worship the Mayor of Harrow and Chris Ogle the founder of L4G.
