Pondering No 12??

Not the usual Pondering page, but one 'requested' at a Town meeting today!  To explain.  

Belle (the chicken) is a somewhat unique sales aide for Finance Confidential Investments, and as such has caused a bit of a stir. (Maybe even ruffled some feathers!)

Her presence at meetings and exhibitions (not surprisingly), never fails to bring forth questions ranging from the inquisitive to the incredulous!   But she performs her function adequately in that she instigates conversation and interest.  Interest that leads perhaps to one of our websites (http://www.finance-confidential.info/  or http://www.investandinsure.vpweb.co.uk/), and ultimately to the creation of a new (and happy) client .

In business we find that what we make, do, sell, or offer is seldom unique.  We try to ensure that our product or service is the best it can be, but so does everyone else providing what we do!    Yes, we have to make a good impression and ideally be liked, and certainly trusted.  But there's more.

It happens that we do offer something that is quite unique, but even so it is necessary to 'stand out' in order to create the opportunity to get the message across.   Come in Belle!

I don't suggest for one moment that carrying around an artificial chicken is the answer to all marketing problems (time here for a snigger), but finding ways to be "the one they remember"  is an essential in any business.

How can anyone forget the man in a suit with a chicken under his arm?   (Especially one that answers e-mails!)
