Well, it's been a while...again, but in that time much has been happening for both Pondering Paul and the organisation that is now firmly established in the Town, namely Link4Growth.
The last Pondering gave information about just what it is we are looking to achieve, and how we're going about achieving it, and achieving it we are! It has been extremely encouraging to hear so many people talking about L4G, and to see so many new faces each month, as well as those who are now regular attenders.
We are 'open' to anyone and everyone who works or plays in or around Waltham Abbey. Anyone that is who believes that saying just how bad things are really isn't good enough. Anyone who believes that the only way to move our communities forward is if we (that's you and me) actually do something in partnership with other similarly thinking people.
We've all said "but what can you do about it"? Now there is an answer. Join Link4Growth and start to do what we suggest you should do, and that is: Talk : Listen : Learn : Link : Grow. It's not hard, and it's not costly, but by jingo it works!
Neither is it costly....£3.00 to attend once a month (and with that comes tea/coffee and biscuits!) and to become an active member also just £3.00 a month.
We are a 'not for profit' national organisation that loves our country and wants to ensure that we make it what we want it to be. No politics, no petitions, no action groups, no threat to any other group or organisation, but just ethical people who believe in working together for the individual and the common good.
It has been great to see members of all areas of the community come along. Small businesses, medium businesses, educationalists, the civic community (both Town and District) , employment experts, Town Partnership......all doing what was mentioned above, namely, Talking. Listening. Learning. Linking and Growing.
We meet every first Wednesday at 9.30am at The Waltham Abbey Marriott (balcony area), and more can be found at http://www.link4growth.biz/ Next local meeting is on June 5th.
So, take a look, or better still book in for the next meeting and find out what all the fuss is about.
