Catch London's rising ballet stars in Ballet Central 2016 in Chelmsford
Friday 15 April at 7.45pm at Civic Theatre
London's rising stars from the ballet world will be displaying their talent in a sparkling programme of neo-classical, contemporary and narrative dance in Ballet Central 2016 on Friday 15 April at Chelmsford's Civic Theatre at 7.45pm.
The company's young and dynamic dancers will be graduating from the prestigious Central School of Ballet, London, and are taking part in a 15 date tour to showcase their talent with a diverse performance of newly commissioned works and celebrated revivals.
Choreographers for this year's tour include Richard Bermange (Ballet Ireland), Christopher Marney (Matthew Bourne's New Adventures), Sara Matthews (Director, Central School of Ballet) and Sharon Watson (Artistic Director, Phoenix Dance Theatre). Classical ballet fans will relish ‘Celebration' by company founder Christopher Gable and Paquita Pas de Trois staged by Carole Gable.
The show is ideal for a family audience, as well as dance enthusiasts and those new to ballet. Ballet Central has a strong dramatic background with Sir Derek Jacobi as their Patron, and the ensemble has picked up a string of glowing reviews - ‘Ballet Central seems to be on an upward trajectory, looking finer all the time.' Dance Europe, July 2015.
