You have probably been to the circus and been amazed and awestruck by the incredible skills the acrobats, jugglers and aerialists all display, but did you know that there is a growing number of places where you can go to learn these skills and that the basics are really great fun and very accessible?
Of course juggling is something you can practice at home - there are techniques that can be picked up by watching you tube videos and so on - patience and perseverance are the most important ingredients needed to perfect.
For the more acrobatic skills you do need specialist equipment and training is deffinetly reccomended. Here are some of the disciplines that are available in Gloucestershire:
Static Trapeze - A simple metal bar suspended between two ropes
Aerial Silks - two lengths of fabric suspended from the ceiling
Flying trapeze - two swinging trapezes with the aerialist aiming to travel from one to the other
Corde Lisse (rope)
