Teddy Bears' Picnic - Whitsun Half Term
Published: 17th May 2011 19:24 |
This half-term visitors are being asked to bring along their favourite Teddy Bear to Berkeley Castle to enjoy Teddy Bear antics throughout the Castle and the Gardens.
On Tuesday 31st May - Thursday 2nd June 2011 from 11.00am - 5.30pm visitors can enjoy Teddy Bear activities for all the Family.
Follow the Teddy Bear trail throughout the Castle Gardens, finding painted Teddy Bears hidden amongst the woods, across the lawns, along the paths and over the bridges.
Once inside the Castle, find the Castle staff's favourite Teddy Bears that have been placed throughout the rooms in the Castle - for those that find these and the ones in the Garden there's a prize!
Castle story-tellers will be telling Teddy Bear tales throughout the day, and the Arty Crafty team will help visitors make teddy bear inspired masterpieces.
The beautiful Tropical Butterfly House will also be open, and older visitors can also win a prize by having a go at the A-Z and numbers quizzes
And the best thing is that all of this is included within the standard admission price to the Castle!
In addition visitors can bring along a picnic to have with their Teddy Bears in the Castle Grounds, or indeed buy one from the Castle Tea Room!
