Emma shot to national fame when she won the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1984 and has subsequently established an enviable international career. This concert will be a rare chance to hear her perform in Bristol the work with which she is perhaps most associated.
Tickets cost from £10 to £23 (£5 for under 25s) and are available from the Colston Hall: 0117 922 3686 or see www.bristolchoral.co.uk
This is the first of the choir's 2011-12 season concerts: the season continues with a come & Sing Messiah and Mini Messiah family concert on 26 November, Bach's Christmas Oratorio (featuring in-demand tenor Mark Padmore) on 17 December, plus Berlioz Te Deum & Faure Requiem in March 2012 all at the Colston Hall and ends with Handel's Israel in Egypt in Bristol Cathedral in June.
Tickets for all of the concerts are on sale now and a discounted season ticket is available. To find out more or to book tickets call the Colston Hall: 0117 922 3686 or see www.bristolchoral.co.uk
