Presenting Karate Budokan International (Wales) - Shihan Tan (Black Belt 6th dan, Chief Instructor)
The Beuford Centre, in St. Julians, Newport will be hosting the first Budokan training centre in Newport. This very popular karate style in Wales and has been in existing for over 35 years. The headquaters of the Karate Budokan International is based at the CMC - Sport and Social Club, Heath, Cardiff. There are numerous satellite clubs around South Wales, and they are situated in: Rumney Community Centre, Rumney; University of Glamorgan, Treforest; St. Canith Leisure Centre, Caerphilly; and other centres. The organisation belongs to a World wide Association, headquarter based in Australia.
The Chief Instructor, Shihan Tan will be running the class on a Wednesday evening between 8pm and 9 pm. The class is primarilly for students over the age of 12 years old. If you and your family are free on Wednesday, why not come along and try out the traditional art of self-defence. Junior class will be starting in the new year on a Saturday. The organisation is a member of the Welsh Karate Governing Body recognised by the Sport Council in Wales. All instructors are qualified coachers and CRB checked. In South Wales, the association has over twenty five black belts and over 100 members training. If you are interested to take up keep-fit, learn self-defence and discipline come along and check it out.
