Local author Mark Bardell will treat us to a fascinating talk on the cultural history of Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight on Saturday 10 November, 3.30pm at Beddow Library in Portsmouth.
Topics covered will include Osborne House and Queen Victoria, The R.M.S.Titanic, Julia Margaret Cameron and Alfred Lord Tennyson.
Copies of Mark's book "The Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and the Solent: A cultural history" will be available for purchase at the event with a £2 discount for attendees.
