Heritage Open days
HMS St Vincent Association Museum
Forton Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 4QA
Sadly, most of the historic buildings at the HMS St Vincent were demolished in the late 1960s to make way for the new secondary school. However, the HMS St Vincent Association, Veterans of the Old Boy's Training Establishment of the Royal Navy, 1928-1968, have created a fascinating museum containing artefacts, books, albums and memorabilia covering the 40 years, including a fabulous collection of over 8000 photographs with many from the archives of Gosport photographer, David Lawrence.
Museum located in St Vincent School. Enter through main portico/clock tower, turn a sharp left alongside of the old building. The museum is at the far end, in the 'u.k. online' premises. BUS- 83/87 stop outside the college, regularly from the bus station.
