The Writers @ Lovedean

On Friday the 26th of November The Writers @ Lovedean assembled at Waterlooville Library to celebrate the launch of their second anthology called 'Tales After Eight'. The local writers meet every Friday at Lovedean Village Hall at 10 am to write and read out their work. The group is ran by Charlotte Comley who regularly sets writing prompts, competitions as well as organising group trips.
There is a whole range of writers who attend the group with interests ranging from novels, short stories, children's fiction and poetry. Some have had some success in the field of writing, Charlotte Comley and Lynne Stone have been script writing for a local radio soap Conway Street. Mick Cooper has compiled information for two non fiction books on Pompey Football Club. The poet Helen Larham as had her work published in numerous magazines. And retired electrician Bryan Hodgekins has signed a book deal for his autiobiography, 'Born to Be' with Chipamunka Publishing.
