Learn to play guitar - yes you!
East Hampshire Leisure Learning promotes a wide range of evening classes for adults. On Tuesday evenings at Merchistoun Hall, Horndean, there is a chance to learn to play guitar. This course is for complete beginners - you don't have to know anything about guitar or about music - you'll be taught everything you need to know in this year-long course of 3 10-week terms.
The tutor is Derek Hasted, who brings 25 years' experience along to make this a fun class with a real sense of purpose.
Classes start right at the beginning each September, but you already play a little, ask about joining the course later in the year. You'll need a guitar, preferably nylon-strung, and if you don't own one, you can get advice at the first lesson.
To enrol, ring Alton Community Centre on 01420 85057 - the cost is £70 a term - or email adulted@altoncommunitycentre.org.uk
