Half Term Workshops at the Spring Arts & Heritage Centre

The Spring in Havant is hosting fun workshops over the half term holiday.
On Wednesday 30th October 5 to 7 year olds can try their hand at juggling, plate-spinning and diablo in a Circus Skills workshop, while 8 to 12 years olds can strut their stuff in a Street Dance session.
We've got plenty of tricks and treats for Hallowe'en on 31st October, when 5 to 7 year olds will be making a scary skeleton or creepy collage in Hallowe'en Madness while 8 to 12 year olds turn into little monsters using Gruesome Make-up to scare their friends.
On Friday 1st November there's a chance for the older children to impress with their circus skills, while it's all aboard for a day of railway puppets and station stories for the little ones in It's A Puppet!
And as an extra treat, children attending the Puppet workshop on Friday will also receive a £2 voucher towards the ticket price for Arthur's Dreamboat, a captivating piece of theatre from Long Nose Puppets being performed at 2.30pm on Friday 1st November.
Based on Polly Dunbar's book, Arthur's Dreamboat is the story of a boy who has an amazing dream about a beautiful pink and green boat with a stripy mast. He can't wait to tell everyone about it but no one (not even his dog!) is interested. In fact, they don't even notice that this very same boat is growing on his head, getting larger and larger by the minute! Soon, Arthur is bouncing along the waves in his very own dream boat. Maybe now his family will listen to him!
This is a magical, playful children's show with breathtaking puppets, so enchanting that everyone will want to sail away with Arthur in his dream boat!
All workshops run from 10am until 3pm, and packed lunches are available. Places cost £15.50 and can be booked in advance by calling The Spring Box Office on 023 92 472700. Tickets for Arthur's Dreamboat are priced £8 for adults and £5 for children. Advance booking is highly recommended for all our half term activities and shows.
