Kids for a quid on offer at the Spinnaker Tower

Author: elliestokes Published: 15th May 2012 10:31

Spinnaker Tower

The Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth is offering families a fantastic half-term outing this June. From Saturday 2nd to Sunday 10th June, kids can enjoy the spectacular views for just £1*.

At 170 metres tall, the Spinnaker Tower offers breath-taking 350º vistas of the South coast, the Solent and the Isle of Wight with a unique view every time. Visitors can walk on air on the glass floor situated 100 metres above the stunning Portsmouth Harbour, climb up to the crows nest for an open air experience, and spot ships as they travel in and out of the historic harbour using the High Spy interactive ship finder, introduced last year to help visitors learn more about the bustling harbour surrounding the Spinnaker Tower.

Top the day off with a visit to Café in the Clouds on View Deck 2, a chance to relax and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake, surrounded by the floor-to-ceiling views stretching up to 23 miles in every direction.

Visitors to the Spinnaker Tower will also receive a ‘Passport to Portsmouth' on arrival, which enables people to claim fantastic discounts at visitor attractions, restaurants and travel suppliers across the city (valid until 31.12.12**).

Sarah Webb, general manager at the Spinnaker Tower, commented: "Entertaining the kids during half term is never an easy task. Our ‘kids for a quid' offer makes your money go a bit further and gives families the chance to enjoy an affordable day out that's fun for everyone."

The Spinnaker Tower is open daily from 10.00am to 6.00pm (excluding Christmas Day). See www.spinnakertower.co.uk or call 02392 857520 to book in advance or to find out more!
