Saturday 29th June
Concert given by the Portsmouth Methodist Circuit Singers 7.30pm at the Drayton United Church, Station Road.
Wednesday 3rd July
Milton Common at 7pm. Find summer birds and flowers on this often overlooked site. Meet and park carefully at the end of Moorings Way, Portsmouth (Map ref. SU 676 004). Saturday 6th July
Family Fun Day 11am to 3pm at Drayton United Church, Station Road. Take your family on an open-top bus ride; See and feed animals; Meet the Community Police and Local Fire Brigade; Face painting; Children's fun; Refreshments; Games; Raffle; Tombola. Only £1 per family. Event is run by the Drayton Daisy Chain Pre-School. Contact 07862 718196
Parish Quiz Night 7.30pm, at St Colman's Church Hall. Teams of 6 or 8. Tickets cost £6.00 and include a fish and chip supper (or alternatives). You can bring your own drinks or a licensed bar will be available. Tickets are available from the Parish Office 92376151.
Thursday 25th July
Harvest amble 10am - 3pm. Richard Jones, Portsdown Hill Countryside Officer, will lead a walk along part of Portsdown Hill and back through the nearby countryside. Chalkhill Blue butterflies are a distinct probability.
Please wear walking boots and don't forget your waterproofs. You may wish to bring something to eat and drink. Children and dogs are welcome.
