Fashion students Host a Glamorous Evening at The Spring

Throughout the year a group of enterprising students have been learning how to design and make their own unique creations under the expert guidance of tutor Ami Lowman. Ami is the owner of a Portsmouth-based design company specialising in bespoke fashion, lingerie, jewellery and vintage wear.
‘Fashion School' workshops run throughout the school year, and the participants are taught the techniques they need to design items they would like to wear, and how to turn their ideas into clothes that fit properly and look good.
On Tuesday 8 July the students, who are all aged 16 or under, have their chance to showcase their work. They will model their fun fashions on a real catwalk in The Spring's theatre.
All of them have channelled their ‘passion for fashion' into an ability to design and make stylish and original clothing and accessories, and have developed their initial interests into advanced skills and techniques.
Come along to their Fashion Catwalk Show at 7pm on 8 July and see the results of the students' hard work; who knows, you could be witnessing the debut of the next McQueen or McCartney!
Tickets cost £3.50 from The Spring's Box Office (tel: 02392 472700.)
