Portsmouth Harbour Fireworks Display

Published: 6th November 2013 13:39

By Lauren Heno

Portsmouth City truly out did itself this year with a spectacular firework display and music line up, including an exclusive performance from up and coming boyband, The Vamps.

The night was kicked off to a great start by X-Factor star, Tom Mann performing a cover of the song, Let her go, by Passenger. He then went on to sing Cloud nine before being joined on stage with Grace Chadwick to sing their upcoming single, Noel, which will be released on 1st December.

He was shortly followed by boyband, The Vamps who kicked off their performance with Wildheart. The crowd then went crazy when they performed their hit single, Can we Dance. They then closed their performance with the song, Cecilia.

The firework display then took place, illuminating the harbour. The time and preparation for the display really showed and was appreciated by all who turned out. The fireworks were set to a musical soundtrack making it an experience to remember. It truly was a beautiful display and did Portsmouth proud.

Following the fireworks, X-Factor star, Giles Potter then took to the stage. The crowd went crazy for the young popstar as he performed a cover of 1975's song, Chocolate. He then when on to cover Jason Mraz's song, I'm Yours, finishing with Paolo Nutini's song, Last Request.

The two X-Factor stars then carried out a meet and greet following the show.

Despite the English rain it was a great turn out and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Gunwharf Quays' also got involved giving away ‘flash' offers to shoppers between 7pm and 8pm by offering them up to 20% off some of their outlet prices.

They also created a ‘Little Book of Excuses' giving shoppers exclusive offers for shops and restaurants throughout November.
