Get On-Board the New Broadmarsh Executive Shuttle Bus Service
Published: 14th January 2014 12:01 |
Employees in and around the Broadmarsh business estate in the Havant area can now catch a ride to work on the free, brand spanking new executive shuttle bus.
This new service is managed by Langstone Technology Park operators Fasset and replaces the previous one (Route 75) operated by Emsworth and District Bus and Coach Services. Rather than losing the service due to dwindling passenger numbers, Fasset saw an opportunity to completely revitalise the service, making it a real benefit to people who work in the vicinity.
Fasset has purchased two new Mercedes executive buses and themselves invested in fully qualified drivers and professional uniforms. They have also extensively advertised the service across the Broadmarsh business community and already the passenger numbers are impressive - reaching over 100 daily in the first week.
The service links Havant train station to Penner Road and Langstone Technology Park. Buses operate weekdays between 7am - 8.30pm, during peak times they are every 15 minutes otherwise they are every 30 minutes. It even has its own Twitter account @broadmarshbus
Gary Medlow, Managing Director of Fasset comments: "Broadmarsh is an important business hub and gateway to a large percentage of the employment in the immediate area. This executive bus service provides a tangible link between us all and a real incentive for staff. Early passenger numbers show that with the right offer, the right promotion and commitment to the service, it can be success and we hope that this will continue."
