PAT Tester Required for Moving on Project

Published: 6th June 2018 13:46

Sarah Knight runs MOPPAn organisation that helps vulnerable people in need set up home requires the services of a PAT tester.

The Moving On Project Portsmouth which helps people who are coming off the streets with furniture and home items say that they are in desperate need due to their former tester being unavailable.

Founder, Sarah Knight, said, "We are in urgent need of a PAT tester for our small electrical items. We have four microwaves we desperately need testing as we don't do ovens and the demand for them is really high at the moment."

MOPP was set up in March 2017. It takes in donations of furniture and other household essentials and gives them to families and individuals who are struggling to afford items themselves. This could be those who are moving into a new house, coming off the streets, refuges or people who cannot afford to replace broken items.

The organisation is run completely by volunteers.

Is there any cost involved ie, van delivery cost. If so how much would this be please as trying to plan ahead as Portsmouth city council like to see that I can am able to buy or be able to get furniture when needed, as this is what I need to be seen doing, like budgeting and saving etc.
I apologize if this doesn't make sense.
If you need anymore information please feel free to email me. Thank you
