Rowans Summer Fete is taking place on Castle Field

Rowans Summer Fete is taking place on Castle Field, Southsea this Saturday 3rd August from 11am - 4pm. 
Talking about the event, Rowans fundraising and Event Manager, Craig Willcock commented: "We are really excited that Rowans Summer Fete is reutrning to its orignial home on Castle Field,  Soutsea this Saturday from 11am - 4pm. We have worked hard to ensure this fundraising event offers a fantastic day full of entertainment for all the family including singign, dancing, hula hooping, welly wanging and our dog show.
There will be over 50 stalls including various Rowans fundraising stands and games, tombolas, local traders and more.There will also be amusement rides, a Pimms stand and our Silver Jubilee Tea Tent. After the dog show, at 3.45pm we will be doing the Grand Summer Raffle Draw."
Speaking about the purpose of the fete, Craig commented: "The Summer Fete was originally organised by Rowans Portsmouth Support group to raise the money needed to build the Hospice 25 years ago. So it is wonderful that this year as this hospice is celebrating 25 years of caring for our lcoal community that we have returned to Castle Field."
The fete has grown to be an important annual event, helping to raise the vital funds Rowans needs to continue to proivde care, free of charge to all poeple wiht life-limiting illness in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire, thier relaitves and carers form diagnoses into bereavement."
Craig then added: "We really look forward to welcoming everyone this Saturday, which will also be a celebration of our communities success in building and continue to fund our outstanding local hospice over the past 25 years."
