A meeting to discuss the future of children's services is being held at Highbury Community Centre tonight (18th January).
The meeting at 6.30pm is part of the council's consultation on changes to services for families.
The council is reviewing the way children's centres currently work with a view to reducing the number of buildings that are running. The council is proposing to create six new hubs located in existing children's centre buildings. The new centres would provide support for families with children of all ages rather than focusing on birth to five.
The council needs to save £11m over the next year and they say that this move will mean avoiding cuts to the teams that provide support.
Highbury Community Centre is one of the buildings that has been identified as a potential hub.
You can take part in the consultation online or complete a hard copy survey at one of the children's centre or via the practitioner who works with your family.
The meeting tonight takes place from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.
The consultation will close at midnight on 31 January 2016
