New care home manager joins growing team at Hamble care home

Encore Care Homes are proud to announce the appointment of our new Care Home Manager, who brings more than 35 years of healthcare management experience to the role. Prior to leading our Hamble Heights residential, nursing and dementia care home, Niki Richards worked as the care and quality director of Encore.
Niki is a registered general nurse and has extensive experience of working across many health and social care sectors, having been a critical care cardiac nurse for many years, Nursing Home Inspector, CQC team leader inspecting prison healthcare, private and NHS Hospitals and worked in a consultant role for many years in independent healthcare.
Niki is looking forward to building on Hamble Heights outstanding service as part of a team of expertly trained staff, who are supportive and provide the highest standard of care to residents.
Commenting on her new position, Niki said: “I’m delighted to be appointed as Home Manager at Hamble Heights and have been getting to know the residents and the team over the last year. I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to improve on the excellent standards here.”
Niki added: “The important thing is to bring all the staff with you on a journey. What I love about Encore is that we’re resolutely people focused. If you get the right people, then you get the right care. Being based in Hamble Heights, you’re very much part of the team.”

Hamble Heights is a purpose-built care home with 60 bedrooms, offering residential, nursing and dementia care. Situated in Fareham, the home has been at the centre of the local community since opening and is now recognised as an established care home serving the residents of Southampton and the surrounding areas.
The home is part of the Encore family that includes Great Oaks Care Home in Bournemouth, Fairmile Grange Care Home in Christchurch and Oakdale Care Home in Poole.
