Walks In & Around Hitchin & the Villages

5 miles, 7 miles, 12 miles and 13 miles: Starting in Hexton a series of walks through Pegsdon, Barton-le-clay (12 miles) and Lilley (13 miles) into the Chiltern Hills on the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire borders.
10 miles: A walk along the Icknield Way by travel writer Christopher Somerville.
0.5, 0.9 and 1.25 miles: Three short walks through Oughtonhead Nature Reserve (some wheelchair and pushchair friendly).
12 miles: The Hitchin Outer Orbital Path (HOOP) through Hitchin and surrounding villages.
2 or 5 miles: The Chalk Hills Walk through the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
2 or 5 miles: The Three Springs Walk through the Chilterns around Offley.
5 miles: A walk in rolling hills between Preston and Kings Walden.
St Pauls Walden
2 or 3.5 miles: A series of walks in Holwell, Ickleford and Pirton.
A series of walks in Arlesey, Ickleford, Hitchin and Charlton.
A 42-mile circular walking route through the Chilterns, which can be divided into nine sections. Starting at Lilley, the Trail goes through Pegsdon Hill, Great Offley, Preston, St Paul's Walden, Whitwell, Peter's Green and Breachwood Green.
