Robert Max plays J S Bach’s Six Suites for Solo Cello BWV 1007-1012

Join Robert Max for a unique voyage through Johann Sebastian Bach's six cello suites, some of the most sublime music written for that instrument. Robert will be playing five of the suites on a Stradivarius cello dating from 1726 known as the Comte de Saveuse and the sixth on a five-stringed cello, as requested by the composer.
Robert has a distinguished performing, teaching, coaching and conducting career, holds a number of academic and directing appointments and has frequently tutored courses at Benslow Music.
The performance will last 2 hours without interval and will be followed by a wine and canapes reception (included in the ticket price).
