Urban Folk Theory at Unicorn Ceilidhs!
The Unicorn Ceilidh at St Mary’s Church Hall, Baldock on Friday 8thFebruary features the remarkable Urban Folk Theory with caller Barry Goodman.
Urban Folk Theory have been steadily gaining a big reputation over the past seven years as an innovative, high-energy ceilidh band that’s not only great for dancing but wonderful to listen to as well. Four talented musicians playing the music and well-known caller Barry Goodman leading the dancing sounds like the recipe for a terrific night out!
Held at St Mary’s Church Hall, Church Street, Baldock, the evening starts at 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 7:30), and finishes at 11.00 p.m. Adults - £10, Seniors over 65 - £9, Children under 18 - £6, Students / unwaged - £7. First 6 students before 8 p.m. - FREE! Excellent value for a live band and caller! There’s a real ale, cider, wine and soft drinks bar and a raffle at the half-time break; parking is easy in the town centre, just walk to the church and you’ll find the hall in the church grounds.
All the dances are walked through beforehand, and the emphasis is very much on enjoying yourself, rather than getting everything step perfect. See www.unicornceilidhs.org.uk for full details.
