The 3rd British Street Food Awards is being held in Hoxton, Central London on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September, 2012. 

Street food in Britain used to be Mr Whippy - or that bloke with a rusty metal handcart outside the football ground.

Not any more!  It is now the most vibrant, exciting sector in British food, with young cooks turning out restaurant-quality menus at take-away prices, and from the coolest trucks and trailers you'll ever see.

Come and see the coolest exponents of the art battle it out for Best of the Best.  You'll be part of an amazing East End knees-up called Fifteen Street ("Fifteen" beinng Jamie Oliver's restaurant).

There will be DJs and live music, a grassy picnic area, inflatable stuff, cocktails at Ginstock and Rumstock (a head-to-head shake-up and-stir off with the country's finest bartenders), London's best craft beers, a horse box that bakes bread on site, and a telephone box that smokes fish.

But we don't want to spoil all the surprises. Just don't expect to leave early!

Admittance £4 per day. Open 11am - 8pm Saturday, and 11am - 5pm Sunday
