It's never too late

Despite continued education being proven to boost self-esteem and bolster self-confidence, the proportion of adult learners in the UK is on the decline; particularly for those aged 30-49.
In celebration of Adult Learners' Week, the Hotcourses Cash for a Course Awards give five adult learners of any age, skill level and walk of life to complete a course of their choice in one of five subject areas. Whether looking to pick up a new skill or seeking to affect a career change, the Awards underscore the importance and benefits of lifelong learning.
Five prizes of £200 will be awarded in the categories arts and craft, technology and business, languages, cookery, and sports and fitness.
Prospective learners need only to share their story as to which course they'd like to complete, and why they deserve the funds to do so. The winner will be the entry considered the most creative, so there's never been a better time to whip out the camera or get inventive with words. All entries must be submitted online via the official Awards website.
In line with Adult Learners' Week, entries opened Monday, June 16 and will close on Wednesday, September 10. This Adult Learners' Week, take control of your future: there's never a wrong time to learn something new.
