Exploring Manchester’s exciting nightlife

Exploring Manchester's exciting nightlife

Whether you're wishing to dance through the night at a super-club, check out the latest live music at legendary venue, or even win big at a casino, Manchester's diverse nightlife always provides solid entertainment.

Thanks to iconic clubs like the much-missed Hacienda, the city has become something of a mecca for dance music fans. Institutions like Antwerp Mansions, the award-winning Warehouse Project, and the intimate Hidden prove that there's no shortage of clubbing options.

And our choices have recently been broadened thanks to the new super club, History, that is inspired by the glamour of the casino city, Las Vegas, but looks to offer typically Mancunian take on clubbing culture.

Live music fans will also know that Manchester has plenty to offer. It's been sad to see legendary venues like The Roadhouse and The Tiger Lounge closing their doors, but institutions like the Night and Day Cafe and the Star and Garter have kept the city's famous independent ethic going strong.

Despite these iconic offerings, there's something of a regression culture trend happening in Manchester's nightlife with everything from crazy golf to bizarre bingo becoming big hits amongst the city's party-goers.

Whilst the Bongo's Bingo events at the Albert Hall have been phenomenally popular, it does beg the question of whether Manchester's Genting or Grosvenor casinos will try and follow this trend in light of increased competitionfrom online gaming sites like InterCasino who offer all of the familiar slots and table games but with added convenience.

Even something as a trip to a traditional pub takes on an added layer of interest in Manchester. From the celebrated likes of The Castle on Oldham Street that features a compact and cosy live music room, to legendary local haunts like the Temple of Convenience that is situated within a tiny Victorian toilet, it's clear that even getting a pint offers something a little different in this fun-loving city.

And such is the diversity in Manchester that there's always something new to discover if you're willing to head out of the city centre. Whether it's hanging around the bohemian bars of Chorlton, heading up to the increasingly fashionable Prestwich, or even enjoying the vibrant art scene around Chapel Street in Salford, it all shows that whether you want massive beats, cutting-edge music, or just want to play casino games online, Manchester has plenty to offer.
