Liverpool Theatre School Students Put on a Show of Talent at M&S Bank Arena

Published: 7th July 2021 10:28

The high energy show, fittingly entitled ‘Unstoppable', is set to take place on 7th July and it will showcase the incredible talent of the whole school with performers ranging from the ages of 6 to 16 appearing on the bill, alongside full-time students (aged 16 plus).

An impressive celebration of dance and musical theatre, ‘Unstoppable' will also feature graduating students who are about to embark on their professional careers in the industry after gaining BTEC and Trinity qualifications in dance, musical theatre and acting.

Liverpool Theatre School Principal, Maxine Ellis, is looking forward to seeing the students perform on stage again in front of a live audience. She said: "We decided to call the show ‘Unstoppable' because that is exactly how I would describe our wonderful students.

"After what has been a challenging time for many, our students have been absolutely incredible in powering through the pandemic and whether they are training on Zoom or in the studio, their enthusiasm continuously shines. I am extremely proud of each and every one of them and they are all raring to go as Liverpool Theatre School prepares to impress the audience with a spectacular performance of well-known numbers from the world of dance and musical theatre."

Liverpool Theatre School, whose patrons include dance legend Wayne Sleep OBE and renowned theatre producer Bill Kenwright CBE, boasts stars of hit shows such as Wicked, Blood Brothers, Les Miserables, Tenors of Rock and The Book of Mormon as alumni.

The performing arts school, rated outstanding by Ofsted, provides specialist training in musical theatre, dance and acting with courses designed to give young people the skills they need to pursue professional careers in the industry.

Liverpool Theatre School encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds with a number of fully-funded places and bursaries available to enable talented students who lack financial support to access professional training opportunities.

Tickets for ‘Unstoppable', Liverpool Theatre School's end of year showcase, are avaiable on the M&S Bank Arena website at £18 each. Social distancing will be in place during the performance, in line with the latest government guidelines.
