Bromborough's Joe Graham Tees Off as Golf Club Captain

Bromborough Golf Club's 2016 Men's Captain, Joe Graham, got an explosive start to his year of office at his recent drive‐in ceremony.
A former research chemist with Shell, Joe was faced with a mock laboratory bench containing liquids of various colours and some troublesome apprentices tasked with preparing golfers' rocket fuel. The experiment culminated in the lighĕng of a large firework that acted as an excellent alarm clock for local residents.
Joe first registered interest in joining Bromborough in 1989 and has recently been involved in administration of the Seniors' Association at the club. He has been a local resident for many years and will raise funds for the Macmillan Nurses Charity.
Located in a mature part of the Leverhulme Estate at the heart of the Wirral Peninsula, Bromborough is renowned as a hidden gem of a Golf Course: "Wirral's Parkland Jewel ® ". For over 100 years golfers have been tackling the distinctive 18 holes that play between 6300 and 6600 yards depending on the tees used. Its quality can be evidenced by its selecĕon to host the English Amateur Matchplay Championship in 2005, English Men's Seniors Championship 2003 and the Cheshire Matchplay in 2010.
There are currently a small number of vacancies for membership on a 5,6 or 7 day basis. Membership deals where the joining fee is deferred are available. Special arrangements apply to fees for those between 19 and 29 to ease the transition from Junior to full membership.
