(Photography supplied by Digital Photography by Rob Holding)Magpas - The Emergency Medical Charity is asking everyone across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Bedfordshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire to find something green to wear for the day on 25th May this year.
The idea behind Magpas Green Day is to support the world class medical service that the charity provides across the East of England, night and day.
The Magpas Helimedix teams were dispatched to over 1,621 medical emergencies and provided A&E critical care to 890 patients at the roadside or wherever it was needed most, in the East of England in 2010 and 2011 alone. We receive no government or lottery funding.
Whether it's at your work place, your school or your club the charity urges you to give Green Day a go!
All you need to do to take part is pay £1 per person.
If you'd like to join the Magpas Green Day, please get in contact by calling 0300 321 4971, or by emailing info@magpas.org.uk. We can then send your Green Day pack (which includes a poster, stickers and a collection tin). Please take photos from the day, so that we can build our Green Day Gallery 2012. You never know when you, your family or your business colleagues might need the Magpas Helimedix.
