The BATTLE OF THE ORGANS returns to LEEDS PARISH CHURCH
in association with MAKIN ORGANS
and featuring Big Screen presentation provided by Keith Hearnshaw.
The Battle of the Organs returns to Leeds Parish Church for an eighth consecutive occasion on Wednesday 13th June 2012 at 7.30pm.
The performers are once again led with immense distinction and flair by Professor Ian Tracey of Liverpool Cathedral and the programme is devised and directed by the Parish Church's own David Houlder.
Other participants in an evening of entertainment as well as enlightenment are Dr Simon Lindley, Ian Wells, Daniel Bishop and - the man who dreamed it all up in 2005 - David Houlder himself!
The musical event will be an excellent opportunity to hear the magnificent Leeds Parish Church Harrison & Harrison organ alongside several Makin digital instruments.
Admission is free and there will be a retiring collection. The event is once again very generously sponsored by Albert Andrews, a Friend of the Music of Leeds Parish Church.
The Battle of the Organs is promoted by The Friends of The Music of Leeds Parish Church an organisation dedicated to securing the future of almost 200 years of choral tradition at historic Leeds Parish Church.
