The Indian subcontinent has a centuries-old tradition of textiles which is reflected in the broad-ranging collection at Cartwright Hall, Bradford that includes embroideries, block prints, tie-dye and woven fabrics. The collection's curator Nilesh Mistry reveals how each form has been shaped by its producing communities and natural resources in his talk Indian Textiles and the Treasures of Cartwright Hall at the Linton Memorial Hall on 12 November 2015 at 8.00pm.
