LINTON ANTIQUE SOCIETY: HOGARTH AND THE ROAST BEEF OF OLD ENGLAND
Published: 3rd October 2015 16:10 |
One of Britain's greatest painters, William Hogarth was a sharp social satirist, a lobbyist for the rights of artists and founder of a new British School of art. Altogether a fascinating figure and every bit as worthy of a film as J MW Turner!
Talks are free to Society members but non-members are also welcome: entrance is £5.00 on the door. Contact Mrs Barbara Hepburn on 01937 582243 to join or download the form on the Society's website www.lintonantiquesociety.org.uk
