10-06-2019Towcester Studio Band stalwarts of the Towcester MidSummer Music will start proceedings on Saturday in the Market Square.
Towcester’s 17th Midsummer Music Festival promises music for every taste with new perfomers as well as favourites from previous years taking place on Friday 21st June, Saturday 22nd June and Sunday 23rd June 2019.
Speaking to AboutMyArea/NN12 Jim Lynch one of the organisers said, "We welcome back Sponne School Musicians, The Young Musicians, Aspire and The Songbirds.
"Newcomers this year include Roade Community Orchestra and Greens Norton Community Choir who wiil perfom a joint concert.
"As well as music at The Plough Inn, The Brave Old Oak, The Bull, The Saracen’s Head and Towcester Mill, Bar Encore makes its debut as a Midsummer Music venue.
"The Saturday programme will be set in motion at 7.00 pm on The Market Square outside the Town Hall by The Towcester Studio Band and the Mayor and will reach its finale with a firework display from The Water Meadows, starting at 10.30 pm
"On Sunday afternoon you are welcome to to join in ‘Songs of Praise’ at St Lawrence Church or to an afternnon of jazz.
"Full details of all three days events can be found in the programme which will give admission to all of the venues – and there will be many choices, including brass, choral, folk, rock, pop, guitar instrumentals and jazz bands. Food and drink will be available at many of the locations.
"Programmes are on sale (£18 Family; £7 Adult; £5 Concession) at the Town Hall and Colemans in the Market Square."
