Titanic Visits Milton Keynes

This April sees the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the White Star Liner - Titanic. A major historical event which is the subject of major exhibitions in Belfast - where she was built - the largest ship of its type ever made. A new television series is also to be shown and there will be much media coverage of the event.
Keen local model maker Derek Barrett will be showing a highly detailed model of the sinking of this world famous ship at the Central Milton Keynes Library throughout January as part of a display of scale models by the Milton Keynes Scale Model Club. As well as Titanic, there will be models of aircraft, tanks, cars and realistic scale figures on display.
Some models will be displayed during the week but on Saturday's club members will be in attendance, with many more models. They will be very willing to talk to you about their models and answer any questions you may have about this exciting hobby.
They will also invite you to come along to one of the UK's major model exhibitions, hosted by the club, at Stantonbury Leisure Centre on Sunday 5th February. Over 90 clubs and numerous traders will be showing thousands of models of every type for you to look at.
