Entries for the Silverstone Grand Prix 10k are coming in thick and fast, and Silson have recently received the great news that this race will once again form a round of the Northamptonshire Athletics Association Road Running League and will also be the Northamptonshire County Championship 10K.

This year’s Silverstone Grand Prix 10k race will take place on Wednesday 9th May 2018.

For more information or to find out how to enter, please visit the ‘Silverstone 10k’ page on Silson AC’s website, ‘Like' their dedicated ‘Silverstone Grand Prix 10k Race' Facebook page or email them at ‘10kentries@silsonac.org.uk’.

If you wish to enter the County Championship then you can do so on the night.

In addition to their preparations for hosting their 10k race, Silson have also been out their running. Here’s an update:

The Chiltern League XC season came to a close with the final race at Campbell Park. The cold, damp weather didn’t fail to make an appearance this year but this didn’t stop the Silson runners from finishing on a high - 4th place!  Well done to the Silson U13 boys team who came first in their category.

Paul Rose has completed his 148th Marathon - the SVN Moonlight Challenge. After well over year since his last ultra distance, he very happy to manage 31 miles in 5:15.

Chelsey Rose (Paul’s daughter) has recently completed her 24th Marathon at the SVN Winter Olympics Challenge and the Milton Keynes Winter Half Marathon.  In addition to the above, Paul and Chelsey have also recently Milton Keynes 10k Night Cattle Creep and would highly recommend this event for a 10k with a difference.

Silson AC juniors had a brilliant time running in the Midlands XC Championships.  Well done to Emily Hinton, Amy Harris, Alfie Long, Luke Harris and Trystan Barnett for representing Silson so magnificently.

Several other Silson runners enjoyed the MK Winter Half Marathon, James Spencer (u20) in particular ran a spectacular race, claiming 3rd place (in his age category) with a time of 1:34!
