Tove Valley Cycling ClubA new cycling club has been formed in the NN12 area of South Northamptonshire, based in Towcester.
The Tove Valley Cycling Club holds unhurried club runs on Sundays into the quiet lanes of south Northamptonshire and north Buckinghamshire along with parts of Oxfordshire and Warwickshire.
These rides use the less motor trafficked and scenic roads and villages that we are lucky enough to enjoy in our area.
Tearing around, ride pace and mindless chasing of KOMs and QOMs is not what we are about.
A day out, well most of the day, in like minded company with one or two refreshment stops is our thing.
A degree of self reliance is required along with the usual on the road spares but help will always be given in emergencies. A cycle helmet is a must along with a well maintained cycle.
The club runs are led by experienced and knowledgeable members. The club is actively avoiding the onerous and unnecessary 'club rules' scenario.
A very modest annual subscription is asked for. At the end of the year the accounts are drawn down to zero and all left over monies will go to a charity.
This year the local air ambulance will be the recipient.
