Bin collections will take place as normal over Easter but South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) offices will be closed for the Bank Holiday.
The SNC offices and the Northamptonshire County Council library at The Forum, Moat Lane in Towcester will be closed for the Easter break from Friday,14 April and will reopen on Tuesday, 18 April.
However, Friday bin collections will not be affected as the waste and recycling crews will continue as normal to avoid disruption to residents.
Cllr Dermot Bambridge, SNC’s portfolio holder for environmental services, said: “Like Christmas, Easter is a very busy time for households, so we will be running our waste and recycling service without disruption during the bank holiday.
“Collections will run as normal on Good Friday, so if that is your usual collection day don’t forget to leave your bins out.
“There are no regular collections on a Monday, so no one will be affected by the holiday.”
There will be extra recycling produced by homes during the Easter weekend, so householders are urged to put their bins out for 7am on the day of collection to ensure crews can manage the extra volume.
SNC offices will close at 5.15pm on Thursday, 13 April 2017 while the Library remains open until 6pm. Both reopen as normal from 9am on Tuesday, 18 April.
During the office closures, online services can still be accessed at www.southnorthants.gov.uk and the emergency out of hours number will still be available on 0800 160 1022.

Just to add some info to the fact that the SNC offices (the Forum to Councillors but not to many others) close over Easter.
So too do the "secret" public toilets in the building.
Good luck to Towcester evening WI in their campaign to get SNC Councillors to fulfill their duty to serve the community and provide public toilets in Towcester.
