Silverstone brought their season to an end with a resounding victory at home against Wroxton. The first team secured runners up position in the premier division of the South Northants Cricket League.
The visitors were invited to bat first and lost their opener bowled by Ollie Starbuck (9-1). A rain shower saw the match then reduced to 38 overs per side. Ryan Knight had two LBW decisions given in this favour (37-1 and 70-2). The introduction of Graeme Cessford saw four batsmen all bowled and the score 122-7. Good batting by the tail saw the score on 168 before Dave Williams took three wickets in four balls. The first was caught by wicket keeper Will Thomas and the others were bowled. Williams (3-45), Starbuck (1-6), Sean Stokes (0-15), Knight (2-32), Cessford (4-34) and Sean Gardiner (0-20) were the Silverstone bowlers.
Joe Lindsay and Andrew Key opened the reply and the score reached 48 before Key was caught in the deep for 22. Lindsay was bowled for 26 (83-2) before Knight and Cessford took the game away from Wroxton. Silverstone reached 170-2 in the 31st over. Knight finished unbeaten on 67 and Cessford unbeaten on 32.
