Classic cars in Abthorpe January 2016.
Next Saturday the 28th September 2019 the Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation (HERO) is organising an interesting event where participants in their historic cars will be driving through Abthorpe and other local villages in a qualifying round of the HERO Cup.
The event will start from the Bicester Heritage Centre and we will be able to see as they drive through the village more than 90 classic cars taking part. Many are over 40 years old.
This particular event – the second of the HERO Challenge events is aimed at novice and intermediate crews – and is designed to be easy going, social and an enjoyable day of motorsport.
The first car should be travelling through Abthorpe at around 12:30 pm and should be a very interesting sight for those interested in historic motor vehicles.
